By March 2010 there will be 24 children's centres across Tower Hamlets all provoding childcare and nursery education as well as family and health services for children ages 0-5 years and their families.

Under the Childcare Act 2006, Tower Hamlets constantly assess the availabilty of childcare, and ensure they meet the requirements of the parents.

A recent assessment showed that parents in Tower Hamlets are mostly able to access the childcare they need.
